The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is L2 Technology GmbH, Paeplowstieg 18, 22453 Hamburg, Germany, represented by its managing director Matthias Mohr. It operates this website under the trading name GDI German Digital Infrastructure. Contact: [email protected]. No data protection officer has been appointed, as the statutory requirements do not apply.

2. Principles

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no content from third-party servers. Fonts, videos and maps are served from our own server. No profiling takes place.

3. Hosting and connection data

This website is hosted on a server that we operate ourselves and that is located in New York, USA. The server is under our sole control; no third party has access to the systems. It keeps no access log: connection data is processed there only for the duration of delivering a page and is not stored. The connection between Cloudflare and our server is encrypted.

The website is delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (content delivery network, encryption, protection against attacks). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data: IP address, time of access, page accessed, data volume transferred and user agent. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses apply (Art. 45 and 46 GDPR). Cloudflare retains this data only briefly for security purposes.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable delivery of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

4. Contact by email

This website contains no forms. If you write to us by email, including via the prepared email links on the Contact and Offer a site pages, we process the details you provide (name, email address, organisation, content of the message and, for site offers, the details about the land) in order to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures and our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). We delete the data after the inquiry has been handled, at the latest after twelve months, unless statutory retention obligations apply or a business relationship arises. We treat details about land as confidential and do not pass them on to third parties without your consent.

5. Recipients

Within our company, only the persons handling your inquiry have access to your data. For the operation of the website we use Cloudflare as a processor (section 3). Data is passed on to other third parties only with your consent or where we are legally obliged to do so.

6. Your rights

You have the right vis-a-vis the controller to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). We will amend this privacy policy if the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
